Great Game, just played it twice in a row. I guess it needs more balancing, since you can go really crazy on multipliers. I really love the atmosphere, it's calming and playing this dice game is really fun.
Fun concept but the x4 dice are extremely broken lol, you can basically stall early fights for tons of money and then do x4 then x16 dice to one shot the entire game, reach armor cap in one go or generate even more money (to get dice that have perfect result for exemple). I didn't bother getting a x64 with the last dice cause I could tell the game wasn't expecting me to do that (and yeah, I one shot the last boss with x16 aoe).
Typically you want to avoid reliable exponential increases in your balance =p eitherthat or you need to balance around player abusing it but that makes it impossible for those who don't figure it out. I would remove multiplier dices entirely, or limit them in some way, or replace them with additive dices.
Thanks for your comment! Yeah, I totally agree with you, and was fairly aware of this during development, but I'm quite ok with people breaking the balance of the game in this prototype/proof of concept thingy, as long as they're having fun! If I were to continue development, I would of course fix this!
This was great fun! Granted, it was a tad easy once I realised I could specialise the dice (one die with nothing but multipliers, a second die with all attacks, a third with defence and healing, and I didn't really need the fourth die) and the game gives out a lot of gems which threw off the shop's balance, but it was still great fun slaughtering the enemies!
Thank you so much for playing! Yup, balance is not the greatest quality of this game, and it is something I could definitely work on. For what it is now, I'm fairly ok with people completely breaking this game, as long as they're having fun!
Great game, though it feels rough to not be able to change your mind once you're locked a die or shoped one. I also feeled anxious that i couldn't check my dies in battle. Very nice job, though.
Hey there, thanks so much for playing! I'm very sorry about that issue. It's been fixed now to not crash there, things were going bonkers with multipliers. Should be properly playable now. :)
Thank you very much! Yes, a save system would be a nice addition, and I think I'll have some time this week to work on that, including some other QOL things players have requested. Thank you for your feedback!
Thank you for playing and for your feedback! Yup... Stacked multipliers were supposed to be pretty powerful, but I accidentally made them extremely stackable and even freezing if you have three x3/x4s lined up with a fourth die. This will be the first thing to get fixed after the jam voting period! :)
Some strategies are indeed a lot better than others. For now I don't really mind turtle play or OP multipliers, as long as the player is having fun. If this were to be fleshed out more into a bigger game, there'd probably have to be a different way of getting faces and no infinite choice at the shop, a bit more like Slay the Spire, I think. Though I'm not sure yet if I'll develop it further. We'll see!

Other than that it works well ^^

Since it's a short game, the exponential power increase to the moon felt satisfying -- fun way to end the week! Thanks!

I fully understand what you mean. If I continue developing, I'll definitely implementat those missing features!
The game crashed on the last fight when I rolled 3x, 4x, 4x, and shield. Really fun game nevertheless. I'll beat it some other time.

Please continue it. This game has potential.
Hi stef! Thank you, that's very kind of you to say. :)
I REALLY wish there was a save system because this game is even more fun ten or fifteen minutes in. Maybe save after each boss? Fantastic game though

Very catchy, lovely animations, and a huge amount of potential in the core systems.
However, be careful with the following:
- stacked multipliers are ridiculously powerful, resulting in hundreds or thousands of gems, endless healing, and even a game freeze upon high numbers
- turtle play where you're just farming shields/healing and money
- insta-wins with stacked multipliers and AoE
Oh, hey Aly!
